Shannan has been an integral part of our team for nearly three years, starting as a steward and progressing to a licensed holder. We recently interviewed Shannan to hear about her experience and insights, which you can read below:

1. Tell us a little about yourself! Do you have any hobbies or passions outside of work?

Shannan: "So a big hobby of mine is music, I play guitar and used to write a couple of songs many moons ago. I'm a big older comedy/entertainment geek as well."

2. How long have you been a part of the Integrity team?

Shannan: "I’ve been with the team for about two and a half, nearly three years."

3. What initially drew you to work with us?

Shannan: "What drew me to the company was initially the events element of it. I began as a road traffic personnel for another company and actually loved chatting with the security company we were working along side and seeing how they worked and I really wanted to pursue similar. So I joined the team as a steward and have been lucky enough to progress to licence holder."

4. What’s your favourite memory or the thing you love most about working with Integrity?

Shannan: "My favourite moment working with integrity was when I worked the Garth Brooks concerts, I'm a little bit of a fan so standing in the voms was amazing. Proudest moment is when a member of the public remembered me giving them a minor detail such as directions, they go into an event and interact with so many more of our strong staff but having remembered me as getting them to the right entrance in the first place, it's always a nice feeling."

5. How has working with Integrity helped you grow personally or professionally?

Shannan: "Working with the team has given me a lot more of an awareness in terms of public safety, before which I'd never have given much thought to. It has also woken my eyes to how many little changes in an event in terms of security operations can make a big difference from the amount of staff in one area to the "approach" of a security guard - sorry that's a bit geeky!!!!."

6. What advice would you give to someone new joining the Integrity team?

Shannan: "Advice for newer staff is don't be afraid of any situation you have a team who are willing to look out for you as you will grow to do the exact same for them, the amount of times people like Chaz, Lee, Damien, Bull to name a few have looked out for me or allowed me to gain experience at rapid pace is an amazing feeling. Practical advice just sounds like every message Simona and Honorata send out before a gig!!! Turn up, represent us well, if the weather is to be dyer have your waterproofs etc."
